Bakersfield, CA – Today community leader Vince Fong announced that Taft Councilman Josh Bryant has endorsed his campaign to succeed Assemblywoman Shannon Grove in representing the 34th District in the California State Assembly. An accountant by trade, Bryant was first elected to the Taft City Council in 2014.
“Families in Taft and on the Westside will be well represented in Sacramento by Vince Fong. Vince will provide fiscally-responsible leadership as I know he understands the need for a common-sense approach to budgeting in California,” stated Bryant. “He’s the best candidate in this race by a long shot.”
Fong has served as the District Director to House Majority Leader and Congressman Kevin McCarthy for almost 10 years, managing public policy issues for the region and working to create local jobs. While in this position, Vince has worked hard to improve the quality of life for the area’s neighbors and families.
“Councilman Bryant is a tireless advocate for Taft and the Westside of Kern County,” stated Fong. “I’d like to thank Councilman Bryant for the trust he’s placed in me to be an advocate for the communities of our District and for fiscal responsibility at the state level.”
As a legislator, Fong will continue to advocate for common-sense policies that create jobs and strengthen the local economy while ensuring that public safety remains a priority.
