Kern County DA Lisa Green Endorses Vince Fong for State Assembly

Bakersfield, CA— Community leader and candidate for Assembly, Vince Fong has received the endorsement of Kern County District Attorney Lisa Green.

Elected to District Attorney in 2010, Green has dedicated her career to the safety of Kern County residents, prosecuting over 110 felony trials, most of which involved homicides and sexual assaults.

“I’ve known Vince Fong for a decade and he possesses the skills and ability to effectively advocate for our community,” said Green. “He is the best choice to be the voice of Kern County in Sacramento.”

Green joins a growing list of community leaders supporting Vince Fong for Congress including Kern County Sheriff Donny Youngblood.

Fong has served as the district director to House Majority Leader and Congressman Kevin McCarthy for almost 10 years, managing public policy issues for the region, working to create jobs, making commonsense reforms, and fighting to improve the quality of life for the area’s neighbors and families.

As a legislator, Fong will continue to advocate for common-sense policies that create jobs and strengthen the local economy while ensuring that public safety remains a priority.

A dedicated member of the community, Vince has served the area in various capacities, including: board member for Goodwill Industries of South Central California, an elected member of the Kern County Central Committee and a lifetime member of the NRA. He also serves on the boards of the Jim Burke Education Foundation and Honor Flight Kern County where he works to send WWII, Korean War and Vietnam Veterans to see their memorials.
